Premier League Transfers: 10 Championship Players Teams Should Buy

3. Matěj Vydra (Derby)

Derby County and Czech Republic national team striker Matěj Vydra played in the Premier League with West Bromwich Albion a few seasons ago, scoring a few goals but struggling to live up to his Championship heroics, having netted 20 times for Watford the year before.

He returned to the Hornets after his loan spell with the Baggies and had another brilliant season, scoring 16 more goals to lead the club into the Premier League. Unfortunately, the powers-that-be at Watford never gave him a chance to shine in the top flight and he ended up at Derby. Again, he proved to be a top quality finisher, netting 21 times and making 4 more goals for his teammates as he won the league's Golden Boot award.

Several times now, Vydra has been the standout man of the Championship and has been getting better and better over the years. At the age of 26, it seems like the time might be right for him to be given another crack at the Premier League. Several top tier squads are in need of attacking reinforcements and could do a lot worse than adding the Czech to their ranks.
