5. Pepe (Real Madrid)
The burly Real Madrid man is one of the names who is currently out of favour at club level; this is due to a couple of factors. Last season the Portuguese stopper struggled with injuries, and when he was out of the team, a new star emerged for Los Blancos, Raphael Varane. The youngster stepped in for Pepe and thrived for much of last season, so much so that when the Portuguese player returned to fitness, Mourinho stuck with the Frenchman. A combustible player, the fiercely competitive Pepe takes the phrase "I hate losing" to a new level. The former Porto player has often been involved in controversies on the pitch, from stamping on Messi's hand during an El Classico in 2012 to being red carded for kicking and punching two Getafe players in 2009. Pepe's versatility would be an asset to any club however, he can play at centre back and is also quite adept at playing as a defensive midfielder. Maybe a reunion with his old gaffer Mourinho isn't out of the question? Perhaps.
