9. Jose Bosingwa
The signing of Jose Bosingwa for QPR in the summer was seen as yet another Tony Fernandes bargain buy.
He arrived on a free transfer from Stamford Bridge, and was expected to beef up the fragile QPR defence alongside the likes of Fabio and Stephane Mbia. However, like many of their other new signings, the Portuguese wing-back has failed to deliver. In his early Chelsea days, he was considered one of the best right backs in the league and was infamous for his dynamism on the right flank. So you can't blame QPR for being excited about his arrival at Loftus Road, however, I'd imagine they wouldn't have been so excited if they had seen his early season form. Bosingwa's performances in a QPR shirt have not lived anywhere near up to expectations, and he now lies as 3rd choice right back after Nedum Onouha and veteran Clint Hill. After only 5 months at the club, Harry Redknapp already wants him out of the way as it's not just his performances on the pitch that have been a disappointment. In early December,
Bosingwa was fined two weeks wages for refusing to sit on the bench in a Premier League game. Understandably - regardless of Bosingwa's apparently legitimate trouser-based excuse - Redknapp was unimpressed.
