QPR: 5 Ways R's Can Avoid Relegation

3. Don't Pick Rob Green

Rob Green cannot have been amused when Julio Cesar was signed towards the end of the summer transfer window. He came to Rangers presumably expecting to be the number one keeper for the foreseeable future. Therefore the singing of a treble winning keeper who has played over 60 games for Brazil, and who seemingly still has plenty of ability at the age of 33, would not have been greeted with a smile. Unfortunately for Green sentiment cannot come into the picture at this stage of the season and Cesar is simply a much better keeper than Green. The Brazilian has proved his quality this season with several stunning performances tis season €“ earning a recall to the national side in the process €“ and seems ready to get stuck into a relegation battle without thinking himself above it. Redknapp needs to keep Cesar as the number one and keep Green on the bench. Simple.
