Raheem Sterling Wants To Play The Louis Van Gaal Way At Man Utd

Even though Brendan Rodgers plays the same system at Anfield?

Raheem Sterling reportedly has his heart set on a move to Manchester United. The latest twist in what looks like becoming the biggest transfer saga of the summer comes as the forward has reportedly backed out of new contract talks with current club Liverpool. The 20-year-old, who snubbed The Reds' offer of £100,000 per week earlier this year, has long been locked in new contract talks with Liverpool's board for much of 2015. Now, The Guardian claim the England international would like to play under Louis van Gaal, although he is said to be worried about how the rivalry between the two sides would affect any move. No player has swapped Anfield for Old Trafford since Allenby Chilton in 1938, while no one has moved between the two at all clubs since 1964. Raheem's desire to play for the former Holland manager isn't a one-way thing, after it was claimed van Gaal is interested in Sterling due to his versatility and ability to fit into his preferred formation of 4-3-3. Although van Gaal has made the 3-5-2 Liverpool played last season his most famed formation in recent years. Moreover, Sterling's pace is said to have captured van Gaal's eye, something The Red Devils definitely lacked in attacking areas last season. United had an enquiry rejected by Liverpool last month, but reports on Thursday evening suggest the Red Devils were ready to return with a firm £25 million bid. Watch this space...
