Rangers Transfers: 10 Players They Must Sign This Summer
8. Remie Streete
Remie Streete was one of 5 different players brought to Ibrox in February as part of a short-term loan switch from Newcastle. Thus far, only a single one of those players has really made an impact, but Streete unfortunately went down with injury during a Scottish Cup loss at Ibrox Stadium against Raith Rovers just days after signing with the Glasgow giants. Coming off just before half-time, the burly centre back never really got the chance to show what he could do, describing himself as "quick" and "strong" during his initial press conference upon his arrival in Scotland. Evidence was certainly there that the youngster has attributes during his 40 minutes on the pitch - a commanding sliding tackle had the Ibrox faithful on their feet, and his distribution out from the back looked promising. It was unfortunate to see his debut be cut short so cruelly, but maybe there's a chance for Streete to show what he can do at Ibrox next season? It remains unlikely that Newcastle have very high hopes for him, otherwise they wouldn't have loaned him out to the Scottish Championship (second tier) in the first place, so another loan move would constitute shrewd business from Rangers.
