Rangers Transfers: 10 Signings To Secure Promotion

10. Kevin Nolan (Free Agent)

Since leaving West Ham in the Summer of 2015, Kevin Nolan has been linked with a few clubs in the English Championship. At 33 years of age, his best years are undoubtedly behind him, but that doesn't mean he can't still do a job for someone. That 'someone' would be a club exactly like Glasgow Rangers, who are desperately in need of some experience in midfield. Andy Halliday is often left isolated by some of his fellow midfielders. The likes of Nicky Law enjoys roaming forward when on the team sheet, wheras Arsenal loanee Gedion Zelalem is a little lightweight and struggles to stand up to the physical nature of the Scottish game. He's undoubtedly a talented youngster, but he doesn't give Halliday a lot of support in the middle of the park. Nolan most certainly would, because he doesn't have the legs to burst forward any longer. Logically, he'd give Halliday the kind of help in the midfield that he's arguably been lacking. Even as a free agent, Nolan's wage demands are likely to be pretty high for Rangers, but he could prove an excellent addition.
