Rangers Transfers: 10 Signings To Secure Promotion

5. Will Vaulks (Falkirk)

During a recent Scottish Championship clash, Falkirk managed to overwhelm Rangers in the middle of the park. As aforementioned, poor Andy Halliday was left wondering where his pals had run off to. The midfielder was left woefully exposed. In the first few moments of the match, Will Vaulks burst through the Rangers backline with pace, before being tripped by Gers defender Danny Wilson. It was this kind of pace and incision which peaked the interest of Mark Warburton. The easiest scouting jobs in the world come by keeping an eye on those players plying their trade in the same league as you, and the youthful endeavour of Vaulks didn't go unnoticed by the eagle-eyed Rangers gaffer. This has led to a situation whereby the Ibrox club are interested in buying the central defender outright. Danny Wilson hasn't exactly been fulfilling his end of the bargain this season, and has been regularly ousted from the first team scene by Spurs loanee Dominic Ball. Vaulks could offer Warburton a more long-term replacement, someone to partner Rob Kiernan for years to come.
