4. Vladislavs Gutkovskis (Free Agent)
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=X34K_mKcb5E There are reports that Rangers have
decided to pass up the opportunity to sign Vladislavs Gutkovskis. The Latvian striker was banging them in for FC Skonto Riga in his homeland, regularly hitting the top of the charts at the best scorer in the Latvian league. These days at Rangers, the cry is that if players can score anywhere, they can find the net in Scotland. Gutkovskis has been on trial with the club since early-December, 2015, and early signs suggested that Mark Warburton and his staff were impressed by the 20-year old. Youth is definitely something Warburton is eager to impress on his squad, setting a template for future Gers teamsheets overall. Unfortunately, it seems the striker wants a little more money than Rangers feel he's worth. Even so, those are just rumours. It'd be foolish of Rangers not to even offer the Latvian a short-term contract until the end of the current season. If his goal-scoring pedigree is accurate, there's no way he wouldn't find the net in a Rangers team that creates chance after chance. Best of all, there wouldn't be a transfer fee, because the forward is a free agent.
