Rangers Transfers: 9 New Signings Fans Should Be Excited For

2. Alfredo Morelos

Watch any number of crucial Rangers games from last season and it's not hard to spot the number of glaring chances strikers like Waghorn and Joe Garner passed up. Frustratingly, those players chose to smash the ball straight at the keeper instead of showing a little more poise. Alfredo Morelos represents something different.

Not yet damaged by years of journeying from club to club, the Colombian forward has only played for Independiente MedellĂn in his homeland and HJK Helsinki in Finland. At 20 years of age, Morelos has already scored 47 goals in 62 appearances during his 18 month spell abroad. Those are some eye-popping stats.

Compare that goal-scoring streak with the meagre 7 goals Garner has managed in 31 Rangers games and things become even more impressive. The Ibrox outfit badly need someone to stick away the vast amount of chances they create, and Morelos could be the man.

Morelos is currently undergoing a medical at Rangers and is expected to sign shortly.
