Ranking Every Liverpool Transfer Under Jürgen Klopp

5. Alisson

"We simply identified another keeper, who is better, and signed him."

£66M is expensive. A Champions League and the 3rd best Premier League points tally of all time is priceless. Liverpool can now pride themselves on having a serious candidate for the title of best goalkeeper in the world, and when was the last time, if ever, that they could have said that? Alisson's career in red has been triumphant so far.

His Champions League MOTM display (Van Dijk & Matip could also claim that) was just the last in a season full of spellbinding performances. The excellence of his positioning makes most of his saves look easy, as is the case with every great keeper. But heart-stopping miracle saves have also defined his campaign, be it against Chelsea, Napoli, Everton, Watford or Cardiff. He's arguably more responsible for Liverpool's historical slaying of Barcelona than Origi or Wijnaldum. He's won the Premier League Golden Glove in his first season, and you'd be careless to bet on it being his last.

Improving a squad is simple. Identify another player, who is better, and sign him.
