The 2013-14 kit could've easily turned into the stuff of legends had it been the shirt Sunderland won a trophy in. Adidas came up trumps with this effort, and it was present throughout the Black Cat's magnificent run to Wembley. For the first time in years, there was a sentimental reason to treasure a kit. Unfortunately it wasn't to be, but the shirt was still an excellent one, complete with white side panels and white on the sleeves, yet still featuring plenty of red on the back and front. If things had gone differently in the final, this shirt would've gone down in folklore.
