1. Brian McDermott
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=RMgyNfvS6uI Unlike other clubs under pressure, Reading have kept faith with their manager Brian McDermott. Originally the chief scout then temporary manager following the departure of Brendan Rogers, Brian has slowly but surely built a reputation as an astute manager who knows when to make changes and how to manage his team. Brian is unassuming in interviews and is the first to admit that the team did not understand how to play in the Premier League at the start of the season. Since then he has rallied his troops, added some inspired signings and is getting his squad to perform and turn things around. Having been written off by many, including some of their own supporters, Brian may well be the deciding factor in the great escape that sees Reading return to fight another season. So, those are the reasons why I believe Reading may avoid the drop. Agree or disagree, let me know in the comments below!
