Real Sociedad 0-0 Man Utd: Player Ratings

Manchester United laboured to an away Champions League draw in the Basque Country as Real Sociedad survived a soft penalty which substitute Robin van Persie saw come back off the inside of the post. A point in San Sebastian against Sociedad kept David Moyes's men unbeaten in Europe, but Marouane Fellaini was sent off late on for a second booking. Here are our player ratings:

Real Sociedad

Claudio Bravo: Not tested anywhere near often enough by United. Straightforward save from Kagawa. Guessed right way for RVP penalty, but woodwork saved it initially. 5/10. Carlos Martinez: Often tossed the ball forward more in hope than expectation. Caught out of position time and again by first Evra/Kagawa and later Young. 4/10. Mikel Gonzalez: Matched Rooney in the air and made an important clearance over own crossbar from Valencia. 5.5/10. Inigo Martinez: Embarrassed himself by making a meal of a Rooney challenge. Referee told him to get on with it. Brave block on Hernandez from Kagawa centre though. As good as I've seen from Spain cap. 5/10. Alberto de la Bella: Kept Valencia quiet, but crossing woeful. Came the closest to scoring in first half with a scuffed effort that went across goal and wide. 5/10. Click next to see the rest of the Real Sociedad ratings including subs.
