Roberto Baggio At 50: 10 Perfect Goals

3. BRESCIA Vs. Juventus (Serie A 2000/01)

To watch Roberto Baggio's deft finish against Juventus in 2001 is to be in possession of a time machine, as two greats from football's past and present combined with a predictably perfect result.

Andrea Pirlo may have been studying free-kick mastery from Roberto Baggio during his season on loan at Brescia, but he already had his trademark lofted-pass down to a tee. Calming the game to his rhythm just inside the centre circle, the young 'Prince' raked a stupendously accurate pass in the vicinity of Baggio, who entranced the ball like a master hypnotist before coolly placing beyond a helpless Edwin van der Sar.

Even in his latter years, Baggio was balletic on the ball, coaxing it under contro flawlessly, and Juventus were forced to remember the fact the day their old hero helped thwart their scudetto bid.
