Manchester United manager Sir Alex Ferguson has admitted all his side can do is win their last game at Sunderland and €œhope something stupid happens with City€. Ever since Manchester City were injected with millions the blue side of Manchester have been anything but quiet for Sir Alex and United. As the season draws to a close, Manchester City are set to win their first league title in 44 years. Manchester United manager, Sir Alex says all United can do is win;
€œWe can only do our best and try to win the match and hope something stupid happens with City," said Ferguson.
Ferguson has made it publicly known that he supports his former Red Devil and the current QPR boss Mark Hughes to fight all the way, especially after Manchester City treat him €œterrible€. Mark Hughes managed Manchester City in the 2008-2009 season, but was sacked (due to the terrible form of the team) on 19th December 2009 and was replaced by the current City manager Roberto Mancini. Even though Manchester United are hoping that QPR will get a point at the Eithad this weekend, Fergie has made it clear to the media it is about the treatment of Mark Hughes as well as the title.
€œThe way he was sacked was terrible. That was the general opinion by everyone. I think his wife knew before him.€
If Sir Alex€™s team win this weekend, he will need QPR get a point in order for Manchester United to lift the title. Although Ferguson is hoping for his team he is suggesting he wants Hughes to do for himself as well.
