One club who have been in the spotlight all summer are Tottenham Hotspur, so fans and neutrals alike will no doubt have curious eyes on them in this upcoming campaign. Speculation about the futures of both Gareth Bale and Andre Villas-Boas (but mostly Gareth Bale) have completely dominated the headlines for the last couple of months, ever since Spurs failed to qualify for the Champions League on the last day of the 2012/13 season. The question remains regarding whether or not Bale will even be a Spurs player next season, after quotes attributed to the Welshman by Spanish news outlet Marca claim that he desperately wants to sign for European giants Real Madrid. Spurs fans will be hopeful that chairman Daniel Levy stands tall, even in the face of a gigantic players plus cash bid for the Welshman, to finally put an end to theory that Spurs are a selling club and prove that Spurs mean business when it comes to keeping their best players, signing the best players and challenging at the business end of every competition they enter.
