Spurs: 5 Changes That Would Make Tottenham Title Contenders
3. Find A Solution With Lamela
Tottenham, Daniel Levy, Franco Baldini and Andre Villas-Boas have generally received plaudits for their transfer business in the summer just gone, with Gareth Bale's world record transfer funding the signing of Soldado, Eriksen, Nacer Chadli, Vlad Chiriches and Tottenham's record buy Erik Lamela. At £30million (once add-ons are included) it is fair to say that the Argentine has not yet had the impact Spurs fans hoped, especially compared to Mesut Ozil at Arsenal. There is obviously plenty of time for the 21-year-old to repay his transfer fee, but at the moment the former Roma and River Plate forward is playing second fiddle to Andros Townsend, and rightly so. However, should Villas-Boas try to get his biggest signing into the side somehow? Perhaps not in Townsend's right wing berth, but what about behind, alongside, or even instead of the main striker? This could be the perfect time for Lamela to show the Spurs supporters what he is all about.
