2. Jurgen Klinsmann
Should Andre Villas-Boas lose his job at Tottenham, bookmakers have Jurgen Klinsmann installed as one of the early favourites, with Stan James
giving odds at 12/1. As a player, Klinsmann played for some of European football's most famous clubs, such as Inter Milan, Monaco and Bayern Munich, and also spent two stints at Tottenham, in 1994-95 and again on loan in 1997-98. He then went on to manage the German national side, before moving on to Bayern, taking his former club to the quarter-finals of the Champions League. A stint as national team coach of the United States followed, a position he still holds today, and one which may make any appointment as Villas-Boas' eventual successor difficult to achieve. Nevertheless, a return to Tottenham and a chance to try his hand at English football could prove attractive, and fans would certainly welcome their former idol back.
