Spurs Transfer News: Capoue, Chadli Staying Put
Hot on the tail of the news that Lewis Holtby has signed for Fulham on loan until the end of the season, Sky Sports News have reported that Tottenham Hotspur will not be allowing any more players to leave the club on loan. Both Etienne Capoue, who hasn't enjoyed a particularly good time since signing in the summer, and Nacer Chadli have been linked with loan moves away from the club - to Napoli and Swansea respectively - but manager Tim Sherwood has said that there won't be any more deals involving Tottenham today. Earlier, The Guardian had reported that Spurs had turned down a £8.25m offer for Capoue from Napoli, as they hoped to pull in £11.5m for the player. Though Chadli and Capoue have seen their playing time limited this season, the move for Holtby, who the Guardian say is ahead in the pecking order, means they are more likely needed for squad support.
