Spurs Transfers: 10 January Replacements For Roberto Soldado

2. Klaas-Jan Huntelaar (Schalke 04)

Dutch international striker Klaas-Jan Huntelaar has been linked with Spurs many times in the past - and his name has cropped up recently as a potential January signing. Schalke 04 are said to be willing to sell the prolific hit-man for as little as £3 million as the 31-year-old's contract runs out at the end of the season and he doesn't want to sign a new contract, so anything they can get for him before he would inevitably leave for free at the end of his current deal would be seen as a bonus. Huntelaar has scored goals wherever he has played - he's got 62 in 103 league starts for Schalke, for starters. AC Milan, Real Madrid, Ajax and Heerenveen also saw the benefit of playing the striker. He'd be a great signing - even at the age of 31 - and for the price he'd be available Spurs should make him a priority, regardless of whether or not Soldado leaves or anyone else comes in.
