Spurs Transfers: 10 Linked Players Tottenham Should Avoid

10. Ben Foster (West Bromwich Albion)

England's current second choice goalkeeper, Ben Foster currently plies his trade at Spurs' Premier League rivals West Bromwich Albion. He isn't necessarily a bad player, but Spurs have a world class goalkeeper on their books at the moment in Hugo Lloris, and Foster would undoubtedly be a step down in quality for the Lilywhites. More to the point, not only is Foster 31 years old - four years older than Lloris - the mere fact that Spurs are being linked with other goalkeepers will serve to unsettle a player who has already hinted at wanting to be playing Champions League football. While this is understandable for a player of Lloris' quality, the thought of Spurs losing the man who is arguably their best player is a terrible one for fans of the White Hart Lane club. So, instead of entertaining rumours of new goalkeepers signings, Spurs should be doing all they can to keep Lloris and the club and making him believe in their future ambitions.
