Spurs Transfers: 4 Shock Moves AVB Could Make Before Window Shuts

3. Alvaro Negredo

Alvaro negredo All of the news today might have been focused on the Sevilla striker possibly moving to Everton, but ESPN have reported that the Merseyside side have been priced out of a move for him. They have suggested that Negredo's asking price sits at £13million, which is unlikely to put off Tottenham who have been linked by the MailOnline with an £18million move for Lisandro Lopez (more of which soon), even though the player's agent is less than inclined to believe a move will happen without a significant fee. He spoke to the Liverpool Echo (via ESPN):
"It's impossible. Negredo is an important player for Sevilla and I am absolutely sure nothing will be done in this window. "I know they have spoken to Everton but there is no way it will happen. Unfortunately, there is no chance, because Sevilla simply don't want to lose him, and if they do, they will ask for crazy money."
The Daily Mail meanwhile have reported in the past few days that the Sevilla striker is available for £15m, and that his club are currently struggling financially, casting some doubt on his agent's claim of "crazy money" being needed. They say Spurs are interested in the striker, and could make a transfer window move. Could Spurs pull off a last minute move for the player? They certainly need someone of his quality to boost their options.
