Spurs Transfers: 5 Players Tottenham MUST Sign
4. Jack Grealish
Reportedly Mauricio Pochettino's number one transfer target this summer, it's thought Grealish could have a similar inspirational impact on the Tottenham side as Paul Gascoigne did when he moved to White Hart Lane from Newcastle in 1988.
The 22-year-old is highly-rated and seen by Spurs as the sort of creative player they need for the attacking positions behind star man Harry Kane. The England U21 playmaker would seem to fit the Tottenham profile and could really benefit from a manager like Pochettino too.
Last season, Grealish managed three goals and six assists after missing the first half due to a career-threatening kidney injury. He received glowing reviews from fans and pundits alike, playing a key role as his Aston Villa side made the play-off final.
Former head of elite potential identification at Tottenham, David Webb, said of Grealish:-
"He's a very clever player and can also bypass players; he's very skillful. Technically, he could potentially be a top Premier League player."
