6. Real Madrid
You get the feeling that Real Madrid is the betting man's choice for Gareth Bale, maybe even as soon as this summer. This is the kind of signing they pride themselves on securing; the world's hottest property that isn't already at themselves or Barcelona. It would be an excellent addition to the Real Madrid squad. Bale is undoubtedly ready for it; his performances this year have shown a player that is improving at a frightening rate that would relish the chance to prove himself at the very highest level. Bale would also surely help Real to edge back in front of Barcelona domestically. A lot of rumours have surfaced about the potential return of Christiano Ronaldo to Manchester United in the summer. Whether or not you consider that even a remote possibility, if it were to happen then Gareth Bale would be a potentially excellent replacement. Real certainly aren't afraid to break the bank to get the players they really want; Ronaldo's £80 million transfer fee is evidence of that. Probably the thing that would throw doubt onto a move to the Bernabeu is the fact that the club may well change their manager. Jose Mourinho's departure seems very likely, and his replacement could have a big say on Bale's choice.
