4. A New Formation For Spurs
With Erik Lamela and Christian Eriksen now both at Andre Villas-Boas' disposal, the Portuguese manager has the ideal opportunity to employ his favoured 4-3-3 formation for the first time since taking over at Spurs. A midfield trio of Mousa Dembele, Sandro and Paulinho could start behind an attacking trio of Lamela, Eriksen and Spanish superstar striker Roberto Soldado, giving Spurs one hell of a core, bearing in mind the already top notch goalkeeper in Hugo Lloris and central defence consisting of two from the likes of Jan Vertonghen, Younes Kaboul, Michael Dawson and Vlad Chiriches. Villas-Boas knows how to get the best out of his teams with this formation employed - he won everything he could've won in his one season with Porto with this system - so this could be the start of something great for his Tottenham Hotspur side.
