Stoke City 1-2 Crystal Palace - 6 Things We Learned

4. Patient-Lee Waiting For His Chance

Lee Chung-Yong signed for Palace from Bolton in January this year and has, so far, found opportunities hard to come by. He is an immensely talented Korean international but due to injuries and the excellent form of Yannick Bolasie, Jason Puncheon, Wilfried Zaha and the summer signing of Bakary Sako he has been restricted to only eleven games in the last twelve months. If 'Chungy' can use Saturday's phenomenal goal as a springboard to kick-start his Palace career then they could have one hell of a player. A supreme dribbler and very tidy in possession, he also has an eye for goal and could really cause opposition defences problems if he is given game time. It's notable that Chungy has kept his cool and his patience and waited for his opportunity so it's pleasing to see him take his chance like he did. Hopefully, with games coming thick and fast, the Palace faithful will get to see some more of him in the second half of the season.
