Sunderland Transfers: 10 Dream Alternatives To Fabio Borini

1. Nani

Another who has clearly outstayed his welcome at Old Trafford, having not truly hit the highs his talent should have allowed, Nani has a great left foot and a superb right foot. There could be one or two suitors already lined up, but the chance of staying in the Premier League could yet prove tantalising. Nani should be up there with his native Cristiano Ronaldo, both ironically had the same number of goals after their first 100 matches at Old Trafford. However, unselfishly Nani had twice the number of assists that Ronaldo had managed. The Portuguese attacking midfielder has skill in abundance, and some might say, more so than Ronaldo. But watching Nani over the years it has often been a little disappointing that he doesn€™t try the tricks that he could easily get away with. Employed on United€™s left wing for far too long by Alex Ferguson, Nani effectively rotted until given a chance on his favoured right side. Though by then, he was possibly beyond the point of truly making the grade expected at United. That said, he still has plenty to give. Like so many, he€™d quickly flourish starting regularly, gaining confidence and growing into a star, albeit on a smaller stage. Though, that wouldn€™t do his International prospects any harm either. There are still goals to be had from him, and anything Borini mustered last season could be matched by this great, though unfulfilled talent. Who should Sunderland bring in to replace Fabio Borini?
