4. Adam Johnson
Adam Johnson has had a relatively disappointing season for Sunderland, following his move to the Stadium of Light last Summer. Big things were expected from the 25 year old englishman after his £10million move from Manchester City but he has failed to achieve any sort of consistency. He has only managed 4 goals in 27 league games, a run of form that has seen him lose his place in the England squad. He has been reported as saying this week, that he hopes to regain his place in the England squad as soon as possible and if he can find the kind of form that gets Sunderland out of their current prediciment, he may just find himself being recalled. And what better way to advertise your skills than by putting in a performance against the best team in the country? Johnson is more than capable of causing problems espcially considering the tendency of United's full backs to go forward. Sunderland will probably try to hit United on the counter attack as much as possible and Johnson's pace will make him a key player in any such attack. The performance of Johnson will be crucial if Sunderland hope to come away with anything from this match.
