Defoe completed his move to Wearside in January 2015, and the England international has become somewhat of a fan favourite since. Defoe's spectacular winner in the Wear-Tyne derby ensured him legendary status just three months into his Sunderland career - undoubtedly the best of the 14 league goals he has managed during his Wearside stay. That tally of 14 makes him the club's 9th highest-ever Premier League goalscorer.
