Sunderland's 2006/07 Promotion Squad - Where Are They Now?

Substitute - Tobias Hysen

For many years, Sunderland remained Tobias Hysen's only venture outside of Swedish domestic football. He scored close to 100 goals in a decade-long career for teams such as BK Hacken, Djurgardens FC, and his hometown IFK Goteborg. Hysen spent just one year at the Stadium of Light, and despite securing promotion, moved back to Sweden because he felt he had never truly settled away from home. In 2014 he ventured away for a second time, this time to the Chinese Super League. He currently has an impressive 30 goals in 44 appearances for Shanghai SIPG FC, the team who recently signed fellow ex-Black Cat Asamoah Gyan.
