Manchester City have been hit with a string of injuries to their back line in a vital stage of the season. Captain Vincent Kompany is ruled out of the game with a calf injury plus full back Pablo Zabaleta will also miss out due to a thigh injury. Micah Richards and Joleon Lescott, however, will face late fitness tests but are expected to be in the starting XI. Carlos Tevez was originally mooted to make his return in today's game too but reports since have squandered the rumour, claiming match fitness is still a problem for the Argentine since returning from his sabbatical. Swansea will be without key player Nathan Dyer for the game as he begins to serve his three match ban after being sent off at Wigan last week. Wayne Routledge is a near certainty to come in to replace the pocket rocket winger. Midfielders Andrea Orlandi and Kemy Agustien will be unavailable for the match as they recover from hamstring and ankle injuries respectively. Ferrie Bodde remains to be out of action with his knee injury until further notice. Finally Ashley Williams, who has been an ever present for the Swans in the Premier League, will face a late fitness test after recovering from a stomach bug but is expected to continue alongside Steven Caulker in the Swansea back line. Leroy Lita has also succumbed to illness but will face a similar fitness test to be named in the match day squad. Line-ups from;
