Swansea Transfers: 5 Signings That Would Prove They Mean Business Next Season

5. Tom Ince

ince Swansea have entered the race for the in-demand Tom Ince, whose 18 league goals for Championship outfit Blackpool last season won him the Football League Young Player of the Year Award as well as a long line of admirers. Premier League new boys and Welsh rivals Cardiff are also in the hunt, as are Crystal Palace, Tottenham Hotspur and Liverpool, the latter of which nurtured the youngster in their youth academy before selling the starlet to the Seasiders. The attacking midfielder is valued at £8 million, a figure that Swansea chairman Huw Jenkins has balked at, but with Welsh rivals Cardiff prepared to match that figure, the Swans might have to follow suit if they want to sign one of this country's most promising up-and-coming young talents. Ince, whose father is the legendary Liverpool and Manchester United midfielder Paul, was also named in the PFA Championship Team of the Year last season.
