Swansea Transfers: 5 Signings That Would Prove They Mean Business Next Season

4. Romelu Lukaku

Romelu Lukaku The former Anderlecht striker has never settled at Chelsea since his move to England in 2011, and the Belgian international found himself loaned out to West Bromwich Albion for the entirety of last season. However, he was thoroughly impressive at the Hawthorns, and scored 17 league goals in 35 Premier League appearances to finish as the division's sixth-highest goalscorer, behind only Michu, Christian Benteke, Gareth Bale, Luis Suarez and Robin van Persie. Now, Swansea will be hoping to pair the 20-year-old up with Michu to ease some of the pressure on their leading goalscorer last season. The Mail Online recently suggested the Swans want the youngster on loan, and will be hoping he can be just as prolific for them during his temporary stay as he was for the Baggies. Conflicting reports suggest however that the player's parent club, Chelsea, want to keep hold of him next season, but with the signature of Andre Schurrle from Bayer Leverkusen wrapped up along with the continued presence of Fernando Torres and Demba Ba, it remains to be seen how much playing time the youngster would be granted should he stay in West London. A loan to Swansea could yet prove more appealing.
