The NBA Season 2015-2016: 10 Reasons To Be Excited
5. Jordan v The City Of Dallas
The offseason will always feel too long for NBA fans. So it's nice of players and management to spice up the dull, basketball free months with some free agency insanity. And despite the LaMarcus Aldridge bidding war (more on that in a bit) and the continuing Tristan Thompson stand-off, the story of the offseason belongs to DeAndre Jordan. The Clippers' big man hit the free agency market after 7 years in LA and he hit it hard. To the devastation of Clippers fans, it looked like Jordan was heading to Dallas to sign with the Mavericks after a courtship period involving player Chandler Parsons and team owner Mark Cuban. However, when reports leaked that DeAndre was having second thoughts, his team sprung into action. After a series of increasingly ridiculous emojis were tweeted by players on their way to meet with him, Clippers teammates and management arrived at his house the night before he was due to sign a contract with the Mavs. They went into complete lockdown and, at midnight, Jordan re-signed with the Clippers. And Dallas fans were mad. They felt betrayed and lied to and deeply concerned about their team's roster given that management had put all their eggs in the DeAndre basket. The Clippers travel to Dallas to play on 11th November and the booing will be extreme. Mark your calendars.
