5. Kevin Gameiro
Position: Striker Club: Paris St Germain Probable Value: £6m The return of Emmanuel Adebayor to his parent club has left a major hole in the Spurs front-line, which won't have been helped by the end of Louis Saha's short-term deal and the likely impending exit of Mexican flop Gio Dos Santos. That will effectively leave Jermain Defoe as the only recognised centre-forward at the club, and the need for back-up a pressing one. After an unsuccessful first season at Paris St Germain, following a £10m move in the summer and just nine starts in the big-spending side, Gameiro is looking to leave and revive his chances to play for the national side. He is said to be available in a cut-price deal, though PSG are unlikely to accept anything less than half of their initial outlay, even despite their swollen bank account these days. Whichever team takes a chance on Gameiro (and there will be a number queuing for the chance), will get an eager, pacey front-man who managed almost a goal ever two games at former club Lorient. Definitely worth a shot.
