Transfer Deadline Day: Every Premier League Club's Best Signing Of The Window
8. Newcastle United - Joelinton
Newcastle manager Steve Bruce has had a monumental task of succeeding fan-favourite manager Rafael Benitez, but he has put himself in an excellent position to do so thanks to an active transfer window. Bruce has significantly bolstered his attack through the signing of Allain Saint-Maximin on a 6-year deal and the heroes return of Andy Carroll. However, the cherry on top of Newcastle's window is their new star striker, Joelinton.
Joelinton was brought in to replace the outgoing Ayoze Perez and has since looked very impressive in pre-season, already notching two goals in two matches. The Brazilian scored 7 and assisted 5 last season for Hoffenheim but will look to reach double figures this season. With attacking support like Saint-Maximin and Miguel Almiron, that is far from a pipe dream.
Newcastle fans will remember their embarrassing relegation campaign only a few short seasons ago and will want to make sure history doesn't repeat itself for a long time. With the calibre of signings Newcastle brought in, Steve Bruce very much looks to be making the fans' wishes a reality.
