Leicester may have seen one of their star players, Harry Maguire, leave this summer, but they've put some of the hefty £80M sum Manchester United paid for him to good use. Alongside signing Ayoze Perez from Newcastle for £30M, they also purchased Youri Tielemans from Monaco for £40M after the Belgian spent last season with The Foxes on loan in January.
Tielemans made an immediate impact at Leicester and seemed to be the best addition to their midfield since N'Golo Kante in their Premier League-winning campaign. In just 13 appearances he scored 3 goals and assisted 4 while maintaining an impressive pass rate of 85%. This great form was something Brendan Rodgers could not pass up, so of course, Tielemans is now a permanent Leicester player.
At just 22 years old, Tielemans looks to be one of the brightest midfield prospects in the league and tying him down to a long term deal is a significant victory. If Leicester ever mounts another magical title challenge, expect to see this Belgian leading the team from the midfield.
