UFC: 10 Candidates For Anderson Silva’s Next Fight

2. Nick Diaz

GSPDiaz And now we come to the final name Silva manager Ed Soares mentioned as a comeback fight for the Spider: Nick Diaz. Diaz has been retired since his loss to GSP in March of 2013, and has said he'll stay retired unless he gets a title shot or a boatload of money, throwing out a figure of half a million dollars at one point. That said, when word of the Silva match came out, he reacted favourably, saying he'd do it if the money was right. He might not get his cool half million, but a bout between Diaz and Silva would be headliner material, and would likely sell fast at the box office. If the UFC were willing to throw in some PPV buyrate bonus money, Diaz might just take the bait. Just imagine the spectacle between the aggressive, trash-talking, volume punching Diaz, who almost always moves forwards, and the elusive, lightening fast, pinpoint striker that is Silva. It would be an absolutely sick scrap.
