UFC 174: 10 Things To Look Forward To

3. Ryan Jimmo's Undefeated Streak In Canada

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=JxDPaQpV664 The undefeated streak is only UFC related, as he actually lost his first pro fight in Canada. Since that loss, he's 19-0 fighting in his home country. Jimmo is always tough to predict because his game plan tends to be unclear. He'll want to stand and trade in some fights to "put on a show" like he did against James Te-Huna. Then in some other fights, he'll look to either clinch or try to control his opponent like he did against Igor Pokrajac. The only thing that seems certain from his career has been winning in Canada and doing the robot dance after he wins. He tends to struggle against more athletic light heavyweights, which makes his fight against Ovince St. Preux more enticing. A hard nosed veteran against a rapidly improving specimen is always fascinating to watch. We've yet to see St. Preux be tested much in recent fights. It has been more of him dictating the pace and punishing his opponents into being unconscious. We know Jimmo is no slouch and has knockout power. That gives him an opportunity to retain his undefeated streak, although this will be the biggest challenge in his career fighting in Canada.
