UFC: 7 Reasons Why Cyborg Must Face Ronda Rousey

4. She'll Land More Fights

The biggest and most irritating delaying factor in this mega-fight is down to "Cyborg"s weight. In order to face Rousey, she must drop a bracket from Featherweight to Bantamweight - a division ten pounds lighter. Whilst that amount of weight seems minor, what many people forget is that fighters tend to only be at their target weight for a spell in the ring. 'Rowdy's natural weight is more in the realms of 150/155 pounds, so her potential competitor will be sitting nearer to 170. It is a significant amount to lose, but something wholly essential. With Justino as a Bantamweight, she could really excel in the UFC. The greatest women in the division are all in this class or lower at Strawweight. Match-ups with Holly Holm, Miesha Tate, Jessica Andrade, Correia, Zingano and Liz Carmouche are all wholly plausible and would make Co-Main Event bouts on UFC Fight Nights with ease. Plus she could land the chance of involvement in The Ultimate Fighter off the back of this. By committing to the cause, "Cyborg" could truly become a major figure across all branches of Women's MMA.
