UFC and Beyond: 5 Upcoming Fights You Must See

2. Rob Sinclair Vs Andre Winner €“ BAMMA 10, 15th September 2012

The UFC aren€™t putting on the only notable UK card this month as the British Association of Mixed Martial Arts hit Wembley Arena for their tenth event. Headlining the show is a Lightweight World Title fight between two of the UK€™s finest. The Champion, Rob €œC-4€ Sinclair is riding a four fight win streak that saw him win the BAMMA World title at BAMMA 2 and make two successful defences. Three BAMMA outings, two first round stoppages, one third round knockout yet still the Champion goes into this fight considered by many to be the underdog. With an excited Wembley Arena crowd and the show airing live on Channel 5* in the UK Sinclair will be hoping to use his slick boxing to secure the biggest win of his career. For the Challenger everything looked rosey a little over two years ago in the UFC. Winner followed up his runner€™s up finish in Season 9 of the Ultimate Fighter with back to back victories over Rolando Delgado and Rafaello Oliveira. Winner was quickly becoming one of the most exciting prospects in the UFC€™s 155lb division. Defeat to Nik Lentz at UFC 118 derailed the hype train before a crushing first round submission loss against Dennis Siver at UFC 122 put his job on the line. A third successive defeat €“ a decision loss to Anthony Njokuani at UFC 132 €“ meant he was back in the UK looking to rebuild. Winner has won both his BAMMA fights since leaving the UFC but they will count for nothing if he can€™t claim Lightweight Gold on National television come 15th September.
