https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Y3nqUwtPco4 Anderson Silva vs. Dan Henderson was practically a superfight when it was announced. Hendo was the reigning Pride welterweight champion, SIlva the UFC middleweight champion of course. Both were already legendary. The UFC had picked up Pride, so this bout was a no-brainer. Keep in mind that the Pride welterweight title was no at all the 170lb division we know today, but rather covered a range from 161 to 183lbs, with Hendo coming in towards the top of that. Henderson was actually seen as being the favourite on the ground, due to his Olympic wrestling background, but in the end, The Spider choked him out in the second round of their title unification bout. It was the second straight title unification loss for Hendo, as he had previously lost his Pride middleweight title unification belt to Quinton "Rampage" Jackson.
