UFC: Ranking George St. Pierre's 12 Title Fight Wins

We look back at the champ with the most title fight wins in UFC history.

GSP. Those three initials are better recognized then any 3-letter combination in the MMA world save the UFC itself. Georges St. Pierre was the most dominant welterweight champion of all time. When he stepped away from the sport in 2013, in a sort of quasi-retirement, relinquishing his title in the process, it was shocking, but not exactly unexpected. Rumours about the champ calling it a career had circled for months, sometimes spread by his own people. He'd come back from severe injury and jumped straight back to the top of the division, that was true. However, he'd practically cleaned out the welterweight ranks during his time at the top. What did he have left to prove? There was talk of an exit strategy: Diaz, Hendricks, then a superfight with Anderson Silva. Some variants of the rumour had him retiring without facing Silva. It didn't really matter. What was clear was that where there was smoke, there was fire. The respected champion had been at the top of the game, and the box office, for years. If he wanted to step back, no one would tell him otherwise - not Dana White, the UFC, the media, no one. While he didn't quite get a storybook ending, GSP did leave the sport at the top - a reigning champ who beat all the best challengers of his day. He avenged every loss he ever took - all two of them. There have been rumours that he might return, but take them with a giant grain of salt. In the meantime, lets look at - and rank - all twelve of Georges St. Pierre's title fight wins.
