Weekend Premier League Review

Crystal Palace 0-1 Tottenham Hotspur

Bale-less Spurs Land Close Victory Tottenham fielded a side without the stand out player of last season Gareth Bale, to face Ian Holloway's Crystal Palace. The game was fairly even and therefore it only took one goal to decide it. The victory was an expected one but the resilience and determination of Palace impressed many and the London side could be a surprise package of the season. The London derby was not a cracker, though the Eagles did put on a show with one stand of the supporters recapturing a non-gruesome scene from the movie Saw, as the players entered the pitch. The only goal came from the spot as Spurs debutant Roberto Soldado grabbed his debut goal after his big-money move from Spain.
