Jol Escapes With Lucky Three Points Fulham came away from the Stadium of Light with three points even after being dominated the whole game by the home side. The match was the first real chance to see Paolo Di Canio's revolution after a busy summer in the North East. The Black Cats battered the Cottagers but they remained firm defensively and unlike Di Canio's side, they took their chance. Martin Jol's side were given one opportunity and Pajtim Kasami planted his header firmly in Keiren Westwood's goal to stun the home crowd. Sunderland tried everything to get back into the game but nothing worked and a late mistimed header from Ji Dong-Won summed up Di Canio's side. It was all there, it was just not used.
