West Brom 3-2 Crystal Palace - 6 Things We Learned

4. Worst First Half Since Promotion

It's difficult to remember a first half performance that bad from Palace ever, let alone since promotion. They were devoid of ideas and, for a team with such an array of supposed leaders, they looked more like timid school kids holding hands with the opposite sex for the first time, not professional athletes at the peak of their powers. Where was the leadership from Damian Delaney and Scott Dann? Why couldn't Emmanuel Adebayor and Yohan Cabaye draw on their vast experience at the top level to help Palace through the tough start? Why didn't Pardew change things before it was too late? They all hid when they were needed the most and it cannot happen again.
