West Ham Confirm Scott Parker In Transfer Talks With Tottenham Hotspur

Hammers have revealed they are in negotiations with Spurs over the transfer of their 30 year old combative midfielder and England international Scott Parker.

talkSPORT, West Ham United have revealed they are in negotiations with Tottenham Hotspur over the sale of their 30 year old combative midfielder and England international Scott Parker. Spurs manager Harry Redknapp has been a long-term admirer of Parker's talents and having seen a deal for Real Madrid & his former Portsmouth central midfielder Lassana Diarra hit a stumbling block this past week, Redknapp has decided Parker is going to be a player useful to him this season as he attempts to break into the top four once again. There's no word yet over whether the deal would be a loan (similar to that of new striker Emmanuel Adebayor from Manchester City) or a permanent move (West Ham turned down a £4 million offer from QPR last week for the player) but Parker himself is likely to be delighted. He is close to being back in the Premiership and now at the team he supported as a boy! Meanwhile Redknapp claims Luka Modric will feature in the Premiership game against Manchester City on Sunday despite his unrest and the futures of all three Spurs contracted strikers Peter Crouch, Jermaine Defoe, Roman Pavlyuchenko is said to be uncertain as Redknapp mulls over letting one of them go to bring someone else in.
