Beleaguered West Ham manager Sam Allardyce is now an unbackable 1/5 to be the next Premier League manager sacked, according to Paddy Power. The Hammers have been on the wrong end of two humiliating defeats within the space of a week; first of all losing 5-0 to Championship side Nottingham Forest in the FA Cup 3rd Round, followed by a 6-0 hammering by Manchester City in hte first leg of the League Cup at Eastlands. The East London outfit are also without a league win since November. They lie in nineteenth place in the English Premier League, a mere point ahead of Sunderland, who had a torrid start to 2013/14. The statement of confidence Allardyce received from David Sullivan and David Gold on Monday reaffirming their support of his management probably didn't factor in a 0-6 drubbing 48 hours later. The question is now surely when rather than if he'll be relieved of his duties at Upton Park. The betting giant's next favourite is Paul Lambert at a whopping 10/1. Newcastle boss Alan Pardew is next favourite for the chop; he's 12/1 to be the next casualty. David Moyes and Chris Hughton are 14/1 apiece, despite the former overseeing Manchester United losing their first three games of the new year for the first time since 1932.
