West Ham Transfer News: Matt Jarvis To Cost £10 Million

West Ham United will need to offer £10 million if they are to land Wolves winger Matt Jarvis.

The Daily Mail. Reports are that The Hammers made a £6 million plus £3 million add-on offer to Wolves for 26-year-old Jarvis which was turned down by the Championship side on Friday. If the London club are to snatch the highly regarded Molineux midfielder, they will need to up their offer before the transfer window shuts on August 31st. Wolves are keen to drive up the highest price they can get for their top players following their relegation from the Premier League last summer. New boss Stale Solbakken would most likely love to keep Jarvis and star striker Steven Fletcher (who was reported to be subject of a high bid from Sunderland this week, perhaps worth as much as £12 million) as he attempts to take Wanderers back to the Premier League at the first time of asking but in our opinion, it looks to be a tough task with both players seemingly wanting to leave. Jarvis impressed in his last two seasons at Wolves and was even called up to the England squad in March 2011 and earned his first cap for his country in the friendly against Ghana at Wembley.
